Hot Time, Summer in the Country!

Finally it is feeling like Summer in the Rogue Valley! We've been spending our afternoons at the park or pool, soaking up the sun.

We did the usual for the 4th. Went to the Ashland parade, it was incredibly disappointing, no naked people, drag queens or war (peace?) activists. We ditched the dull parade a little early and made our way down to Lithia Park for some delicious street food and a picnic in the park. Afterwards we headed to Doug's dads house to spend the evening with the family followed by the Medford fireworks! The boys didn't get to bed until 10:30pm, but still woke up at 6am... that was awesome.

My goal this summer was to go on fun "day" adventures with the boys, experiences like visiting a farm, going to the beach, art projects etc... so far we've done nothing (except an ill fated, possible brain damaging pot painting adventure). I won't give up though! We have some fun things planned for this weekend so stay tuned! :)
